Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is not interested in a move to Inter Milan and wants to fight for a first-team spot next season.
The Frenchman had a difficult second season with the club under Jose Mourinho, scoring nine goals in 45 appearances.
United’s interest in Ivan Perisic has put Martial’s future in further doubt and reports on Tuesday night claimed the Serie A giants had enquired about the former Monaco star moving in the opposite direction.
Members of United’s board are open to letting Martial leave but the Frenchman believes he can break into Mourinho’s first team plans and wants to stay next season, according to the Independent.
The forward took to Twitter earlier this summer to dismiss speculation about a move to Arsenal but a move to Italy could be more appealing.
United are currently in America for their tour of the US and take on rivals Manchester City in Houston tomorrow night.
